Forklift & Operator Training
Professional Training for Safer, More Confident Operators
The right training does more than help businesses meet their safety responsibilities. It gives operators the knowledge and practical skills to work safely, confidently and efficiently.
At MSM/DRH Limited, we provide professional operator training for a wide range of forklift trucks, material handling machinery and access equipment.
Whether you’re training a complete beginner, developing the skills of an experienced operator, arranging refresher training or introducing a different type of machine, we can recommend a suitable course.
Our training focuses on safe operating practices, practical competence and an understanding of the equipment being used.
Why Operator Training Matters
Effective training helps operators understand their equipment, recognise potential hazards and develop safe working practices.
Properly trained operators can help reduce:
- Accidents and near misses
- Damage to trucks and equipment
- Product and load damage
- Damage to racking and buildings
- Equipment wear and misuse
- Operational downtime
Good training helps protect your people, equipment and business.

Builds on existing skills through structured instruction and assessment, with an emphasis on safe operating practices.
Refresher Training
For previously trained operators who need to refresh and reassess their knowledge and practical skills.
Also suitable where additional training is needed following an incident, unsafe working practices or an extended period away from operating.
Conversion Training
For trained operators moving to a different machine type or equipment with significantly different controls, characteristics or operating methods.
Builds on existing knowledge and skills without unnecessarily repeating a complete novice course.
Training at Your Site
All MSM/DRH operator training takes place at your premises, helping to minimise disruption to your business.
Training in a familiar working environment also allows operators to develop their skills using the equipment they work with every day, where appropriate.
Course duration depends on the equipment involved, the operators’ previous experience and the number of delegates. We’ll discuss your requirements and recommend the most appropriate training programme.
Our flexible approach allows training to be tailored to your business, taking account of the machinery, working conditions and operational responsibilities involved. Our aim is to provide practical, relevant instruction that helps operators apply what they’ve learned confidently and safely in their everyday work.
